NORTHERN LIBERTIES NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION IS OFFERING “TREECYCLING”

Dispose of Christmas Trees Responsibly

A pioneer in tree recycling, the NLNA will be one of more than 20 local civic and nonprofit organizations working together to recycle trees this holiday season.

For the fifth year in a row, the City of Philadelphia will not be curbside collecting holiday trees for recycling. As a result, any trees left at the curb will go into landfills or incinerators, causing air and water pollution and contributing to global warming. Instead, with sponsorship by Bartlett Tree Experts, All Seasons Landscaping and Shechtman Tree Care, we're providing the opportunity to have your tree chipped and reused to beautify local dog runs, community gardens and parks.

Bring your tree to Liberty Lands (3rd Street side), Saturday, January 4, between 10AM and 4PM. Volunteer to help at the event: http://volunteersignup.org/DBDX9. Questions/info: Lara Kelly, trash@nlna.org.
